ABLE
I worked with the leadership of the non-profit ABLE, a member of Caritas Singapore, the social mission arm of the Catholic Church in Singapore. The non-profit serves people with physical challenges and their caregivers with services such as rehabilitation, training, respite care, wheelchair-accessible transport, as well as a social enterprise that places employment for people with physical challenges.

Challenge: In an environment where non-profits, with finite resources, need to reach as many people as possible to allow their services to benefit more people, it is challenging.
Successes: Helped the non-profit’s leadership become aware and prepared when facing the media and became self-reliant in working and collaborating with the media. Communicated some of the key initiatives of the non-profit to the media, resulting in various media coverage.
SPD
I worked with the leadership of the non-profit Society for the Physically Disabled (SPD) to prepare the society’s executives and leaders when facing the media with full suites of delivery materials. I recently delivered a pro-bono short film with some peers.

ACE BlueSky Festival
Action Community for Entrepreneurship (ACE) is a Singapore government initiative (through SPRING Singapore) to help emerging and growing local enterprises in Singapore reach out to the mass market and trade segments. SPRING Singapore’s ACE organized the BlueSky Festival to celebrate and highlight growing and exciting enterprises in Singapore. We worked with the initiative in its inception for its very exciting BlueSky Festival, to bring awareness through the media and the public event to the general public and trade audiences.

Challenge: Entrepreneurship as a concept was still not the most sought-after at that point in time, and public education and awareness have to be built up.
Successes: We have helped the SPRING Singapore ACE initiative reach out to the general public and trade audiences through the large-scale ACE BlueSky Festival through media relations, executive interviews with the mainstream print and broadcast media, and national-level advertising campaigns.
