Challenge: The group faced tremendous competition in a very heated ecosystem, and against an antiquated channel and distribution system. At the same time, brand recognition was very low. The brand has an ineffective website and a dismal Facebook page.
Successes: We have helped the client establish its brand and its products, in multi-channel 360 marketing, including PR (getting its spokespersons on broadcast, print and online), building a content blog, converging older websites into a new website with better SEO, at https://hstmedical.com. We launched the brand’s first outdoor advertising campaigns, including roadshows with an outdoor advertising company, and conceptualizing and launching the brand’s first bus-stop digital panel advertising campaigns. We also manage the brand’s Facebook page, curate and edit content for the page, and building a following to complement the new website. Challenge: The brand was to open its first store at Jewel Changi Airport, which is located at the far eastern side of Singapore. Generally, journalists and influencers are not likely to venture to a far-flung location in Singapore for a media launch.
Successes: We helped the client with the media launch, inviting key journalists and influencers to attend the event, and also helped facilitate all the media interviews to ensure the mainstream and other journalists were properly taken care of, as the client’s spokespersons mainly spoke Japanese. The event was a resounding success, and the Japanese headquarters commended our team for the great event and coverage.

Dataiku is an AI and ML company from France. We served the regional representative for a media launch event with a room of journalists. We pitched the client in 2018, when AI/ML was nowhere near the hype and frenzy it became five years later.

Challenge: Zepp as a brand is a virtual unknown in Singapore, even though it has a successful lineage in Japan in the music scene. Located in the west side of Singapore, which was not traditionally known for cultural venues and entertainment,. There was also a time crunch due to the limited time to launch.
Successes: With the time crunch, we were able to help the client garner good media coverage and also manage the hundreds of trade attendees from the music and entertainment industry (many of whom are from Japan). We managed the press conference to a roomful of journalists and also orchestrated a “backstage tour” just for the journalists to explain every facility and piece of equipment the Zepp live music hall has and put together image and video assets for the launch.

Signeo (Sprintcass) is the distributor for brands such as Soul and Nakamichi headphones and earphones. Challenge: B2B PR for these products was challenging due to many regulatory restrictions placed on reaching out and advertising such products to the public, as well as some earlier issues prior to our engagement.
Successes: We took on the tough challenge of finding innovative ways of reaching out to the media through the production of a trackable microsite with professionally produced video documentary short films talking about various skin conditions and potential treatments and care from medical professionals. The footage was shot on Blackmagic Design professional cine cameras we own internally in our labs and studios and then post-produced on Apple Final Cut Pro X (FCPX).

First helped leading optical eyewear distributor Sin Kwang Optical break into the cinema advertising space for their distributed eyewear brand Emporio Armani. Used AVID NLE (non-linear editor) to edit custom animations and then encoded for cinema advertising. ACE BlueSky Festival
Action Community for Entrepreneurship (ACE) is a Singapore government initiative (through SPRING Singapore) to help emerging and growing local enterprises in Singapore reach out to the mass market and trade segments. SPRING Singapore’s ACE organized the BlueSky Festival to celebrate and highlight growing and exciting enterprises in Singapore. We worked with the initiative in its inception for its very exciting BlueSky Festival to bring awareness through the media and the public event to the general public and trade audiences.

Challenge: In those years, antivirus software was still seen by some as optional, and there were many software lapses in adoption. The market was beginning to be saturated by large and small market players competing for the same media space and public mindshare.
Successes: We have helped the client establish its brand, its solutions and its presence throughout the region, building steadily an image of grounded and proven expertise in antivirus and content security. One of the unique campaigns was a custom short film conceptualized, developed, filmed, and post-produced entirely by our own team using a Hi8 camcorder about a science lab infiltrated by a computer virus. The short film was shown before a large audience in a Singapore government-led public and trade seminar, putting the client in a prominent and leading-edge space ahead of its competition. Video remains one of our pioneering strengths, from those days of analog video to web and live streaming video today.

PeopleSoft (merged with JD Edwards, then acquired by Oracle in 2005) was a leading enterprise resource and human resource management solutions company. We served PeopleSoft in its launch of an enterprise solution in 1996 through a PR and media event with the delivery of digital media kits (we have been pioneer in interactive media and digital media kits since the 1990s).

Asian Business Press (ABP), the leading trade publisher at that time, published Asia Computer Weekly (ACW) and Asia Pacific Telecoms (APT), two of the leading trade publications then. Developed the printed media kits for the 2 publications. ABP then transitioned to Miller-Freeman Asia, then CMP Media Asia, before becoming UBM Asia to focus on trade events and conferences under the United Business Media PLC (UBM).

SunSoft
Developed print advertising and interactive communication programs for SunSoft, a division of Sun Microsystems, managing the high-performance server-class operating system Solaris and associated developer tools (now part of Oracle) in the 1990s. We were pioneers in developing interactive media for PR and marketing using Macromedia Director (Adobe). We developed interactive press kits and trade show demos. Some of the products launched included SolarisTM X86, SolarNetTM, etc. We also created original, custom illustrations for the print advertising campaigns.

The trade media became more familiar with the client and there was extensive media coverage for the client, despite being in a high-end, enterprise computing segment unfamiliar to many non-programmers. Also launched various trade print advertising campaigns successfully for trade events.
Mitsubishi Electric
We served the displays and dye-sublimation printers divisions of Mitsubishi Electric (MELCO) in Singapore for their publicity programs in the 1990s. Today, the division is known as the Mitsubishi Electric Visual Information Systems division. Other than helping Mitsubishi Electric develop trade and consumer print advertising campaigns, we have also developed custom interactive and self-running demo apps for their trade events. We used Macromedia Director/Flash (Adobe) for many of the interactive displays.

Challenge: MELCO was a specialized division specializing in high-end business products and did not then enjoy the same level of public recognition.
Successes: Helped the client establish the brand as high-end displays in a challenging market segment, since large-size displays were prohibitively expensive then, through public relations in the trade and general media, and through reaching out to the trade and general audiences in specialized trade events. The client successfully showcased its industrial-grade displays and other computing peripherals throughout Singapore’s trade and mass market segments. We built a simple website for the client during 1996, the pioneer commercial Internet year.
Crystal Jade Restaurant
When the founders of the Crystal Jade Restaurant started in Cairnhill, Singapore, one of our founders helped with the creative direction and copywriting of many of its early advertising campaigns, from print advertisements in Chinese and English dailies to radio campaigns in Chinese. We are proficient in Chinese (traditional and simplified) and are able to serve the restaurant’s founders.

Challenge: An upstart restaurant with limited marketing resources is competing in a fierce, well-established market.
